1940s

My 1940s Newsweek are in really nice shape, and were newstand editions, meaning no mailing labels to marr their covers! It's really hard to find a news magazine like Newsweek without the mailing labels. Most people would have subscribed to the magazine. These are almost all in framable condition.

In addition the issues from the 1940s all include the word "Canada" on their covers, and inside there is a page or so of Canadian news.

• July 17 1944 VG Solider of Russia: Now Berlin is Nearer than Moscow. -- What a cover! russian soldier shown on the grown with explosion in background, holding equipment, perhaps a detonator(?). Nice pic.
